Adam Rowley
Gestalt Psychotherapeutic Counsellor
I offer weekly psychotherapy at Therapy Space East in Shoreditch on Wednesdays. I work with individuals at significant points in their lives: people who are struggling, who want to understand themselves more fully, and find greater ease and meaning in their lives.
My work is existential in orientation and grounded in relational practice, with a particular attentiveness to the body, to presence, and to what passes between us in the room. I offer a consistent, thoughtful space in which emotional and relational experience can be explored in depth.
My practice is LGBTQIA+ affirmative and culturally inclusive, with a particular sensitivity toward questions of identity, gender, sexuality, race, and culture.
I am also a qualified mindfulness practitioner and a Listed Teacher with the British Association for Mindfulness-Based Approaches (BAMBA). Alongside my psychotherapy practice, I offer one-to-one mindfulness sessions and the Mindfulness-Based Living Course (MBLC), an eight-week accredited programme. Mindfulness teaching and therapy are distinct offerings and can be engaged with separately or alongside one another.
Areas I commonly work with include anxiety, depression, and low mood; burnout and difficulties at work; relationship difficulties; grief, loss, and bereavement; trauma; questions of identity, self-worth, and direction.
