Counselling offers a safe space in which you can share your difficulties, concerns or anything that matters to you. You and your therapist willl explore your situation to gain a better insight and understanding of what you are going through. Your therapist will help you to find ways of working through difficulties or to overcome any specific issues.
About the sessions
The first session is an opportunity to get to know your therapist and their way of working. Both of you can then discuss whether you could work well together.
Subsequent sessions are usually weekly and last for 50 minutes (sometimes longer for relationship counselling). The number of sessions you will need varies and can be discussed during your first session.
Some of the areas we work with:
Stress, anxiety, panic attacks
Loss and grief
Gender or sexuality related issues
Obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD)
Lack of direction
Personal or professional transitions
(This list is not exhaustive, do not hesitate to get in touch with a therapist to check whether they are working with an area not listed here)
We are all qualified psychotherapists and members of one or several professional bodies therefore abiding by codes of ethics and practice (see links below). We also have full professional insurance.
