Clinical Placements at Therapy Space East
If you are currently training to qualify as a counsellor, psychotherapist or counselling psychologist and would like to offer support to a diverse range of clients within the community, we would love to hear from you.

What we offer

The opportunity to work with a caseload of three or four clients, face-to-face, on a weekly basis for one year (with the possibility to extend the agreement).

An environment that will support you in your learning and development as a therapist.

Fortnightly group supervision (up to three trainees in each group) with experienced qualified psychotherapists and counselling psychologists.

A comprehensive induction at the start of your placement.

Who it is for
​
This placement is for registered trainee therapists who have accumulated more than 40 supervised hours with clients and are working towards qualifying and accreditation with UKCP, BACP, NCPS or BPS.
What we ask for

Minimum one year commitment.

Regular attendance to TSE online / in person group supervision as well as additional supervision through your course or privately.

All placement therapists are expected to attend weekly personal therapy.

Commitment to your own personal and professional development.

Maintaining professional conduct in all your dealings with TSE clients and staff.

Please note you will be required to pay for an enhanced DBS, TSE can coordinate this for you. Some trainees may have a DBS attached to their work or other voluntary positions so we can check this to see if it is valid. Your enhanced DBS will last for 3 years.

Please note that the first 3 months of placement will be considered a probation period.
